Memo issued

Crap, now my phone is ringing off the hook. I am going to ignore the persistent ringing and waste company time by posting this instead.

Why does this read like a eugoogily? I didn’t die for crying out loud.

“Sabine Dukes, our General Accounting Manager, has announced that she will be leaving Granite in late December.

Sabine has made many contributions in the six years she has been with Granite. During that time she has dealt with the impact of substantial growth in volume and complexity of our business, all the while ensuring that the element of fun remained a staple in her department. She will be sorely missed by those of us who work with her”

Lookout Foxy accountants, I am bringing a big ol box of fun to your department.

I never knew accountants were “fun”.

Velo Bella November 29th, 2005 at 7:23 pm

I’m gonna escape the flood of phone and emails and go ride in the rain.

Jed November 29th, 2005 at 9:43 pm

Go Sabine!!!!!!!! Wanna ride the Trans-Rockies with me next year? We can be Bellas of da Mountains! My big bro lives 50 miles from the start line…

Velo Bella November 30th, 2005 at 12:12 am

yeah? Is that like, hard?

pink fishnets November 30th, 2005 at 12:30 am

uh, well, maybe sorta but we’d be surrounded by burly men

Miss Mary November 30th, 2005 at 1:23 am

After seeing that pic, I wanna go and watch the burly men…and ask them if they would be so kind as to carry my bike up the nasty littl’ mountain!

Velo Bella November 30th, 2005 at 2:29 am

Burly sherpa men aside, if the training for that involves lots of long rides on mountain biikes, I just might consider it. For real. I’m assuming this is a team thingie? Like me and you in a team? How hilarious would that be. Frick and Frack, bella style.

pink fishnets November 30th, 2005 at 5:41 am

consider it for real…yes, long mtb training rides required. yup, team (can never be more than 2 minutes apart so I will tie a bungee to your bike and you can pull me). wow, 30% sold out already.

Velo Bella November 30th, 2005 at 5:56 am

Uh..Earth to Julie
I only saw Zoolander like 30 years ago, okay.

Velo Bella November 30th, 2005 at 5:58 am

Shit. 30% sold out? Is this one of those things I have to commit too months ahead? I am so bad at that. I better go google this madness and see whats what

Wild Dingo November 30th, 2005 at 6:20 am

Um, Earth to Sabine: thanks for giving my blog nick name away! I was trying to be “androgenous” and stuff with the Wild Dingo alias.

Ooops. It was someone else (sarah maybe?) that didn’t see it. My memory is bad because a claymation dude made me stand on my head in yoga tonight.

Velo Bella November 30th, 2005 at 5:26 pm

Would I get to meet your Big Bro?
