More Lameness on this Blog

I said earlier that you can tell I am getting fit, by the sorry condition of my house and car.

I guess I can add the state of my blog to that as well.

It sure is getting harder to juggle everything. When I really focus on work, exercise suffers, when I stop exercising, the house is better, but I am unhappy. Well, whatchya gonna do?

And it doesn’t help that I have added two more sports to my life. I currently have 4 backpacks rolling around in my car: cycling clothes, swim thiingies, gym clothes and camera stuff. Needless to say, my car looks like crap and the chaos freaks me out sometimes.

But I rode in the sun today, and will bust a lung in swimming tonight and maybe take another 5 seconds off my 100 time. I am stretching enough that I can finally touch my toes. I am up to 20 pushups and can probably crack walnuts with my abs.

So there.

Ack! no, no triathlon.

After 10 years of bike racing, I am so unbalanced. When I first started swimming I couldn’t even haul myself out of the pool because my upper body was useless. I had to use the stairs. Thats sad.

So I am doing more general fitness-y things. It probably won’t make me faster on the bike. But I do feel stronger and healthier.

A clean house is totally over-rated.

You go on the pushups girl. And keep striving for that balance! I got out 50 pushups last two years in October as my Max for for the Army. It felt good…but…the back and lats did fall weak as a result of so much “front” training. So needless to say I’m doing lots of back work to balance it back and won’t try for 50 again this year. I am so built up the sports bra cuts over and hurts my shoulder.

Your pictures are really gorgeous. My Rebel is sitting and needs to be taking some pictures soon…

And yes a clean house is only needed every once in awhile totally! Especially when its nice outside!
