Hauntingly beautiful. The trees seem to be alive, bending to envelop the house.

Love the treatment you have given this! I like the corrugated sheet about to drop from the top window and the trees leaning over as if to give the sorry looking place comfort!!

there were buzzards in those trees when I first arrived. I tried really really hard not to shush them away with my camera fumblings. But I am clumsy and they flew on. That would have been too much to ask for I guess.

Okay, let me know where this place is...looks spooky too. They say that when people occupy a home, it doesn't go into decay as quickly as it does when its abandoned. A superb shot with lovely treatment...I especially enjoy the clouds and the trees leaning in that way!

Thank you! That was taken at Anderson Country Park in Morgan Hill. Its remnants of the cherry farmland that the county took over. They haven't done anything with this area yet, and its officially off limits and I had to squeeze under a barb wire fence to get this shot...but you know... I usually put the location of the pic up in the description, but in this case, it seemed like the whole county park thing would detract from the mystery.

"I had to squeeze under a barb wire fence to get this shot" Caution! you are only a few steps away from being a Urban Explorer. Proceed at your own risk ;) I love the tin hanging down from the upper left window and the trees in the background without leaves. Just hearing about the buzzards creeps me out.

Love those trees! The vultures must have just added such an eerie feel when you first got there. What decay to that building, such an amazing contrast to the beautiful trees and vibrant sky.

i love the post processing. that sky! those trees really add to the spooky feeling of the shot. -- Seen on your photo stream. (?)

Nice little pad. Just completed, is it? Actually it looks really wobbly in the thumbnail - good to see there's nothing wrong with it in real size. Well, a bit of peeling paint in the corner, but other than that... -- Seen on your photo stream. (?)

If that isn't the perfect set for a horror movie then I dont know what is...great atmosphere and the high contrast gives it a really cool look.
