What a beauty! I need to take a ride down the road a bit to see the place..this is a fine shot!

SummernRose - if you do, make sure you stop at the Corralitos Meat Market (as long as you are not a veggie) for some of their sausage! And a trip to Roses of Yesterday on Browns Valley Ride.
There's a wine tasting tour of Corralitos coming up soon that I hope to get in on!

You've told porky pies...I tell my kids off for that ! I'm falling in love with California just from your photographs. Fabulous shot and 'made to look like evening ' treatment.

i wouldn't mind it if the blue were gone.
and more detail in the tracks would gimme some eye movement, especially if the soil looked all fertility-in-shadows.
Sabine wrote...
I tried to make the blue go away this morning, but it was very stubborn. And then I ran out of time. Now that I think about it...maybe I was working on the wrong layer...I always do that, especially when there's a cat in my lap. There's a black and white layer in this and I was probably clicked on that.
Shadowy detail is to 11 on those tracks..thats about as far as I was able to push it. View it large and swim in the details there.

And, did the propane company call yet?

Interesting. What is the lighting here?
Sabine wrote...
its morning light filtered through a thin overcast
I mostly tweaked the white balance way to the warm side. The leaves are actually light green and illuminated were almost white.

Blimey, some people are fussy with your photos, aren't they. I think it's a classy piece of work myself. No surprise to see it Explored. Congrats.

okay, so I managed to get most of the blue to go away...and I even eeked out some pathways for your wanderin eyeballs. I hope this means some rewards....

I want to say that this is a very strong photograph! The lights and darks are very compelling. Like, I want to be there to feel it if it's anything like how I feel when I view the large size. A very simple black and gold and bright of clear and sharp contrast. Makes me think of Van Gogh's The Reaper. I love the subtle echo of the tree trunks by the tractor tracks.
